The Southern Conference announced several schedule changes for men's basketball, including three games involving Samford, Tuesday afternoon.
Samford's home game with Western Carolina, originally scheduled for Jan. 9, will now be played Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. in the Pete Hanna Center. The Bulldogs' game at ETSU, scheduled for Jan. 13, has been rescheduled for Feb. 1 in Johnson City, Tenn. Both of those games were postponed due to COVID-19 protocol within the WCU and ETSU programs.
Additionally, Samford will now face UNCG twice in a three-day span, as the squads are adding a Thursday, Jan. 14, date at the Hanna Center, in addition to their previously scheduled Saturday, Jan. 16, contest there. Both teams saw their Wednesday, Jan. 13, games postponed due to COVID issues within their opponents' programs. The teams had been scheduled to face off at UNCG on Feb. 6 but are no longer slated to play in Greensboro, North Carolina, this season.
